Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the concept of action-research and trace its use in educational contexts. To achieve this, both the concepts and theoretical presuppositions of this approach are described. Also, the difference between natural sciences and social sciences are described, for it was the origin of the action research approach, mentioning the theoretical contributions of Lewin, Adorno and Habermas. Finally, an assessment of the application of such a perspective in educational environments is presented.
